Africa Development Conference 2024

THE CONFERENCE

The conference aims to identify organizations and or individuals both in public or private institutions that have contributed to Africa’s socio-economic development in pivotal ways. But more uniquely the Conference is tailored to drive the rest of the African continent into the ‘new’ Sierra-Leone, digesting the intra trade, partnership, and investment opportunities the country offers. Basically, the conference will gather individuals that have proved to be exemplary development partners to the continent in diverse ways, albeit with particular emphasis on success stories spanning through the last decade.

BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE

Africa is a continent rich in resources and opportunities, yet intra-African trade remains significantly underutilized. The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) presents a unique opportunity to enhance economic integration, foster inter-trade partnerships, and attract investment across the continent. Sierra Leone, with its strategic location and untapped potential, is well-positioned to host a pivotal conference that can drive the rest of Africa into stronger economic ties and investment opportunities.

The Africa Development Conference 2024 aims to bring together key stakeholders from across the continent, including government officials, business leaders, investors, and development partners. The conference will serve as a platform to discuss, strategize, and implement initiatives that will enhance inter-trade and investment in Africa.

THE AWARDS

With political partisanship and, historical documentations shortcomings, and the sheer passage of time increasingly blurring the relative contributions of some individuals, enterprises and institutions, we have seen the need to honor the most outstanding contributors to Africa’s economic growth and social development, and publicly recognize them by way of award during the conference. This aims not only to show appreciation for their efforts and accomplishments in this regard but also to establish them as role models worthy of emulation by everyone else.
The rich knowledge welded by these delegates will be brought to bear amongst the locals in Sierra-Leone and all that will be in attendance of this al-important conference.

In particular, this edition of the AFRICA DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE, aim to identify individuals, public institutions and private enterprises, that have made outstanding contributions to Africa’s effort to improve upon the continents ability to feed itself and eradicate poverty.
