IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS
All persons entering Sierra Leone must have a valid passport or travel document. Citizens of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) do not require a visa to enter the country, but citizens of all other countries do. For visa request please apply online through the following link https://evisa.sl/ All technical assistance required shall be rendered by the ADC secretariat.
GENERAL TRAVEL COVID-19 PROTOCOLS:
As per the latest updates, Travelers do not need to present a negative PCR test before
flying to Sierra Leone. A health or travel insurance covering COVID-19 related expenses are required. Travelers will be asked to present proof of health or travel insurance before boarding and on arrival.
AIRPORT FEES:
Payment of security fees of $25 for arriving and departing passengers is mandatory.
TRANSPORT
Getting to Freetown from Freetown International Airport usually involves taking water taxis, and ferries.
Sea Coach Express and Sea Bird Express operate water taxis between the airport and Freetown. These boats are larger than typical speedboats and often have air conditioning and WI-FI and are the most convenient.
The ride takes around 30 minutes, and cost is approximately $45, inclusive of transfer from the airport to the dock.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Arrangements accommodation will be facilitated by the ADC secretariat upon full payment of participants. All documents including hotel reservation letters will be sent to individuals via their provided emails.

SANITARY (HOTELS) PROTOCOL:
Fully Vaccinated Guests only (2 doses): unless indicated otherwise by the government. Guests must be vaccinated with 2 doses of a Covid-19. The validated vaccines are AstraZeneca: Covishield, Vaxzeria, Covaxin, Johnson&Johnson, Moderna, Pfizer, Sinopharm, Sinovac-CoronaVac, Sputnik V o Johnson & Johnson: If vaccinated by J&J, the vaccine must be completed 28 days prior to arrival date. Other Vaccines which require two doses: 2nd jab to be completed 15 days prior to arrival date.
Custom Provision For Hospitality: The secretariat together with local logistics companies have made custom provisions to ensure the full Hospitality of invitees are catered for at a fair rate.

Wi-Fi connectivity through hotspots is available in major malls and airports.
Please note that the internet is mostly provided as part of your
accommodation package at almost all hotels/lodges, as well as at the conference venue.
RECEPTION ON ARRIVAL AND TRANSPORTATION
Transportation from the International Airport to the hotel may be provided by your hotel
at a fee, so please check while booking or contact the secretariat to assist.
LANGUAGE
English is the most common official language and is the most widely spoken. 15. CURRENCY
Official: The leone is the currency of Sierra Leone. It is subdivided into 100 cents. As of 1 July 2022, the ISO 4217 code is SLE due to a redenomination of the old leone at a rate of SLL 1000 to SLE 1.
The leone is abbreviated as Le placed before the amount.

16. WEATHER INFORMATION
Sierra Leone experiences a hot and humid tropical climate with a distinct wet and dry season. The summer rainy season is between May and November with most rain falling in July and August. Temperatures average 78.8F (26C) throughout the year, with nighttime temperatures hovering around 75F (24C).
